� Background
Kaboo is a startup company built for helping 7-13 years old kids to compose a personalized card online and take care of the postages and mailing to their family members around the world.
🧠 Discover Problem
Stay organized with their card orders and partnerships status. As the company receive orders online and work with different printing vendors and artists, the status of orders and projects was not easy to manage and check. Kaboo needs an interactive desktop version admin portal for their employees to work on.

    🎯 The Goal
    • Conduct a desktop admin portal for internal employee to saving half time on organizing online order and manage printing vendors.
    🏅 Final Impact
    Working as a team with 2 other designers and 2 developers and stakeholders for 2 month to build the internal portal for their employees. It helps the business improve their workflow efficiency by 50%. Categorized into 3 separate features and build a new design system.

    After talking to stakeholders to know the problem with the timeframe we have given, we deicide to conduct a secondary research first to find out the reference of the admin portal on the similar market.
    Secondary Research
    Persona & Sitemap
    Understanding my target users is the core principle, we created the persona based on the stakeholder and the sitemap for the overall structure of the admin portal and pick a critical problem to solve.

    Story Map & User Flow
    After a few meetings with stakeholders, we get to know the current workflow and conduct the story map and 2 selected user flows for the business needs.

    Sketches
    Based on the information we conducted and research we have done, we created few sketch options for "checking orders" and "Add a printer" user flows.
    After the meeting we analyze the pro and cons of the ideas and combined all to made the finial sketch for the user flows.
    Style Guide
    Kaboo has existing design system, we have adapted base colors and one neutral color, created a new style guide for the admin portal with new typography and components.

    Designed few features based on the research, following are the features we created to make system more effective and smooth.

    Iteration
    We tested out with the stakeholders, based on the feedback we made some changes as following:
    ⇥Next Steps
    • Due to the time constraint, we didn't develop the dashboard, when the business grows and settles, the dashboard idea will be implemented.
    🧠Reflection
    • Communication is the key between cross function team.
    • Understanding the workflow of the business is fundamental.
    • I will spend more time to get to know the workflow as each business is different.
    • If we have more time, i will spend more time on the usability test and get more feedbacks.
